Southend, Essex and Thurrock MARAC Referral Form

Only domestic abuse cases assessed as high risk are heard at MARAC.

If your case is not high risk do not make a referral to MARAC.  You may wish to call a professionals meeting, consult with a domestic abuse agency  or consider an adult or child safeguarding referral instead (Southend-on-Sea City Council, Essex County Council, Thurrock Council).

Please use the referral form ( you can download this below) for all high risk referrals into the appropriate Southend, Essex & Thurrock MARAC. Please ensure that this is the form saved on your systems. Remember it is your responsibility to complete all other safeguarding referrals prior to MARAC.

The team ask that you ensure the form is fully completed in word format. Referrals will be rejected if the MARAC referral form is not used or in PDF format. Please also ensure that you are sending the referral to the correct SET MARAC area.

If you have any concerns or questions you can access the MARAC Bitesize training video or contact your MARAC area directly for further advice.
