SETDAB Stalking Campaign 2026
The Southend, Essex and Thurrock Domestic Abuse Board (SETDAB) are working in partnership to support the Suzy Lamplugh Trust’s National Stalking Awareness Week, held from 20 to 26 April. The SETDAB partners have designed a social media pack to raise awareness across Essex.
Stalking is a pattern of unwanted, fixated and obsessive behaviour which makes someone feel scared, distressed or threatened. It is recognised as a high‑risk behaviour that can escalate rapidly to serious harm, including domestic abuse homicide. Research shows that the period after a relationship end is often the most dangerous, with stalking frequently used to regain control.

If you are a voluntary or statutory organisation within Essex, Thurrock or Southend, that can support our shared vision ‘to enable everyone to live a life free from all forms of domestic abuse’, please download our stalking campaign social media pack and share across your channels.
This pack aims to help people understand the different types of stalking, recognise early warning signs, and where to get help.
