Join the UN 16 Days of Activism Campaign: Resources available

The United Nations 16 Days of Activism campaign takes place from, 25 November to 10 December and aims to prevent violence against women and girls, as well as changing attitudes in wider society.

This year’s campaign theme is “UNiTE to End Digital Violence against all Women and Girls” and is a reminder that digital safety is central to gender equality.

Resources available

If you are a voluntary or statutory organisation in Essex, Thurrock or Southend, that can support our shared vision ‘to enable everyone to live a life free from all forms of domestic abuse’, we invite you to download our 16 days of activism toolkit, containing a variety of social media content to use across your channels.

These resources are designed to help you raise awareness about digital abuse and signpost to support available.

Campaigns happening at the same time

The toolkit also includes content for White Ribbon Day, which takes place on 25 November, this year’s campaign #WeSpeakUp, encourages men to use their voices and speak up to create a world where everyone is safe, equal and respected.  It focuses on men holding themselves accountable to women and to each other, so we can affect positive behaviour.
