SETDAB Stalking Basic Awareness e-Learning

The SETDAB Stalking Basic Awareness e-Learning package can be accessed on the Essex Social Care Academy website.
This site is free to use for organisations across Southend, Essex & Thurrock. Please visit the site and register your details.
The e-Learning package covers the following learning outcomes:
- To have an awareness of the legislation and protective orders relating to stalking.
- To be able to recognise different types of stalking behaviours.
- To be aware of common harmful stalking myths.
- To have an awareness of the prevalence and complexities of stalking.
- To have an awareness of the different types of stalking perpetrator typologies.
- To have an awareness of the impact of stalking on victims and others connected to them.
- To have an awareness of the how stalking is linked to the Domestic Homicide Timeline.
- To improved knowledge of support services for victims and perpetrators of stalking.
As of October 2025, we have moved to a new learning platform so you will need to set a new account up to access this course; this is a quick process.

Update 10th Nov 2025 – we are aware that YouTube videos are not playing – this is a platform wide issue that the developers are looking into.
