Dr Emma Katz, the world’s leading academic expert on how coercive control harms children and mother-child relationships, and how these harms can be overcome.
Dr Katz is a Senior Lecturer in Criminology whose work has influenced legislation and professional practice in the UK and globally.
Her book Coercive Control in Children’s and Mothers’ Lives is influential and acclaimed, as is her expert academic blog Decoding Coercive Control with Dr Emma Katz which is read by thousands of subscribers around the world.

- To gain an understanding of how the coercive control of perpetrators in families and after separation harms children & young people.
- To be confident in recognising the protective parenting efforts and strengths of victim-survivor parents.
